Catholic Charities presents fundraising concert featuring Janelle Kendall’s Perfect Storm

“The Reason,” a fundraising concert featuring Janelle Kendall’s Perfect Storm, is Thursday, April 27, at 7 p.m., at Pioneer Place on Fifth in downtown St. Cloud.

Presented by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Cloud, the concert highlights Stearns County Attorney Janelle Kendall’s Perfect Storm band. It includes local musicians Mark Hasbrouck, Dan Witte, Mark Levandowski, Matt Moline, Alex Kendall, Pat Curto and Carolyn Yaggie-Heinen. The band will showcase female rock anthems by artists such as Aretha Franklin, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette and Heart.

“In my day job, I see the positive effect that Catholic Charities has on our community,” Janelle Kendall said. “From the food shelf to safe housing to supporting those who cannot support themselves — Catholic Charities provides a safety net and a positive environment for everyone. Knowing support from Catholic Charities is available matters to many people who also interact with the court system, mental health services, and other community services. Having a team providing consistent support really matters.”

The concert benefits programs and services of Catholic Charities. Tickets are $25 for general admission and can be purchased online at ccstcloud.org. One hundred percent of ticket sales and event donations will go to Catholic Charities.

“Catholic Charities is thrilled to have Janelle Kendell and the Perfect Storm performing once again for our concert and fundraising event,” said Steve Pareja, executive director of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of St. Cloud. “There are so many reasons why our mission is important to Central Minnesota, and the audience will discover several of those reasons while enjoying outstanding live music in the intimate setting of Pioneer Place On Fifth.”
