Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish announced diamond anniversary events

Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish in Washington, D.C., will mark its 75th anniversary with a variety of events this summer and fall, including a concert, a prayer breakfast, an anniversary Mass, a reunion celebration, and a gala.


The church is located at 3800 Ely Place in Southeast Washington, D.C.


A 75th diamond anniversary music ministry concert will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday June 4. A will offering is requested.


On Saturday June 10, an anniversary prayer breakfast to honor Our Lady Queen of Peace seniors 75 years old and older will take place in the parish’s Casa Cremona. Father John Mudd will speak, and a donation of $35 is requested. The event will begin at 10 a.m.


A 75th Diamond Anniversary Mass for Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Sunday, June 11 by Washington Auxiliary Bishop Roy Campbell Jr. Participants are invited to a reception following the Mass.


On Saturday June 17, a 75th anniversary family reunion celebration will take place at the Washington National Youth Baseball Academy. There is a suggested donation of $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. The event will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.


The 75th Diamond Anniversary fall gala for Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish will take place on Oct. 14 in the Casa Cremona. Ticket cost is to be determined.
